Ashley and Emelia were born and raised in Campbell River, B.C. which is also known as, to all of you anglers out there, the Salmon Capital of the World. Growing up in a small, north island community, provided them with a tight knit community mentality. So, it was a huge change for them when it came time to enter post-secondary school; in 2008, the two girls moved away from the only home they ever knew to the big City of Victoria.
Ashley and Emelia
During their studies at UVic, the girls spent a majority of their time together. But, as life seems to happen, Emelia had to move over to Vancouver to attend a technological institute that offered her a guaranteed spot in their prestigious broadcasting course (which eventually landed her with a job at Global news!). Ashley, in the meantime, continued and finished her Bachelor's Degree in English Literature, and became the founding President of the first ever sorority to be established at the University of Victoria.
As they spent time apart, their friendship grew stronger and they began to realize how life is more than just a journey - it's actually an adventure. With Ashley moving to Vancouver to finish her second degree and Emelia deciding to go to back to school in order to pursue her passion for both writing and fitness, the girls have decided to write a blog together. Two very different people, two very different perspectives, and one unbreakable friendship.
